Hi Everyone!!!!

I am so excited to make a couple of announcements for Neutral Buoyancy that I might come off a little more cheerleader like than usual!!! hahaha Our club is coming along with the help of all our members and non-members alike. The kindess that exudes from all of you amazes me and I thank each of you for being wonderful.

The first exciting bit of news: One of my favorite people, Gus Bricker had an amazing idea that he shared with me to help our veterans, wounded or not, get into diving. I spoke with Mike Meyers about it and of course Mike being as great as he is said that Northshore Aquatics will provide a 25% discount on open water courses to veterans. This act of paying it forward is just the beginning. In time and with the help of others I am hoping all of us can do more.

The second thing I would like to announce to you is: Northshore Aquatics, Neutral Buoyancy and the SeaHawk are working together to get divers in the water!!!!! In order to help facilitate boat dives we have chartered the SeaHawk for July 1, 15 and 29th which is every other Sunday in July!!!! August is still pending. This is an amazing opportunity for club members to check out the wealth of wrecks off Long Island's coast. The SeaHawk is a friendly and well run boat with a captain and crew that care for their passengers. The greatest part of these charter dates is the times that they go out!!!! Each charter will leave the dock at 12:30pm!!!! Oh I know that has to be a relief for all of you that have complained to me about 6am dive boat departures!!!! hahaha Well instead of getting you a tissue to dry your tears, we decided to get you a better departure time. hahaha Just playing.

For those of you who were unable to attend the meetings I wanted to also announce the idea of another favorite club member whom I respect and think the world of even though he wont let me give him credit here. The Pro-Am is our plan to give novice divers a chance to get in the water. On a voluntary basis experienced divers will pair up with newer divers at dive sites, such as Ponquogue Bridge to make the dive experience safer and more enjoyable.

Every fire begins with the strike of just one match (or rubbing some sticks together if you're that motivated hahaha). Your ideas are important to me. No matter how big or small they are they each have the potential to burn bright. Please share. This is go time! Our community needs to focus on getting people young and old into the water. Thank you so much for all of your help.

Safe Diving!!!!
